January 5, 2024 - Nureva® Console release notes

Nureva Console, HDL410 and INOGENI® CAM230
Last Updated: January 22nd, 2024

This update introduces camera zone switching and connected device monitoring for the Nureva HDL410 system paired with the INOGENI CAM230 multi-camera selector.

Camera zone switching for the HDL410

Through Nureva Console's camera zones interface, users can define up to three different cameras that will be switched according to sound location. Users can create up to three camera zones within the HDL410’s coverage map in Nureva Console. The coverage map automatically determines the locations of the microphone and speaker bars and the walls.

Users define zones by drawing rectangles in the coverage map. For example, a boardroom that would require views of a front-of-room presenter and people seated at the table would have presenter and audience camera zones created. When sound is detected in the presenter zone, data is sent via the camera zone API to the INOGENI CAM230 device, which switches the view to the active camera. A trigger time is defined to determine how long sound is picked up before camera views are switched. This solution is currently available with the Nureva Console remote management platform and it will be available with the Nureva app soon.

The INOGENI CAM230 supports automatic switching of cameras, but it also provides controls so users can manually select a camera by pressing buttons on the device. This is useful for meeting participants who may want to temporarily stop switching and select a specific camera. Pressing a camera button again will return it to automatic mode. When a Teams or Zoom call ends, automatic mode is restarted for the next call.
