The CV30 camera kit provides a powered USB 3.0 hub and a 10 meter (32.8 foot) USB 3.0 extender cable. The hub and extender cable support a 4K video stream and power delivery up to 600mA @ 5v.
For some installations, there can be a need to use a USB extender that is longer than the provided 10 meter (32.8 foot) extender cable. Nureva® has compared and tested a number of USB extender options including Active Optical Cable, USB repeater and USB over Ethernet extenders. We recommend using the following USB over Ethernet solution, which supports the following:
In general, a USB over Ethernet extender that complies with HDBaseTTM specifications should work with the CV30 camera. Please see the HDBaseT website for more information about their specifications. If you are not able to determine if an extender solution meets HDBaseT specifications, another option is to compare against the specifications for the validated options listed below.
