HDL300 microphones aren't picking up sound/remote participants can't hear

Follow the steps below to address issues with audio input.

  1. Ensure that the microphones are not muted on the HDL300 system. Make sure that the LED display in the center of the microphone and speaker bar is blue. If the LED is red, then the microphones are muted. Use the remote control to unmute the microphones. See the see What do the LEDs on the integrated microphone and speaker bar mean? article for more details.

If the LEDs are white once a call has been initiated then, the HDL300 system is not connected to the conferencing software and is not in a call.

  1. Verify that the System status light on the connect module is green
  2. Confirm that the USB cable is connected from the connect module to the computer's USB 2.0 port
  3. Confirm that the microphone volume on your operating system is set to an audible level
  4. Verify that the microphone volume on your conferencing software is set to an audible level
  5. Double-check that the microphones are not muted on your conferencing software or operating system
  6. Open your systemʼs list of devices and verify that Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (HDL300) is set as the default recording device for both your operating system and conferencing software
  1. While you're viewing the list of devices, make sure that itʼs detecting the HDL300 system as the default audio output device
