The operating system and driver requirements
Last Updated: November 22nd, 2023

Operating systems

The HDL200 system and its firmware are tested with the following operating systems.

  Windows®

  macOS®

  • Windows 10
  • Windows 11

  • macOS Ventura
  • macOS Monterey

The HDL200 system will also work with many other operating systems that will allow for standard HID/audio class USB operation. Some examples are shown below. Please note that the HDL200 system is not tested with these operating systems.

  Windows®
  OS X®
  macOS®

  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8.1
  • OS X Yosemite
  • OS X El Capitan
  • macOS Big Sur
  • macOS Catalina
  • macOS Mojave

macOS

Apple® advises using Rosetta® 2 with Mac® computers that have Apple silicon. Rosetta 2 enables a Mac with Apple silicon to use apps originally built to support Mac computers that use Intel processors. Rosetta 2 may not be pre-installed on some Mac computers and must be installed before using Nureva Console client.

Driver requirements

The HDL200 system is plug and play and will work as a standard USB device without requiring special drivers or software. The HDL200 system presents itself as both an audio input (recording) and audio output (playback) device to the operating system, so custom drivers are not required. The device will present itself specifically as a USB composite device (HID device and audio class).

Keep in mind, that these requirements are for a typical HDL200 installation. The HDL200 system will also work with other systems, including computerless systems. See our FAQs for examples and information.

LCD screen management

Nureva Console software is required for the management of the features of the HDL200 system's LCD screen. More information about these features is available at the articles listed below.
