| This value is determined by varying the power to the blue laser diodes over the FOFO measurement to yield a more representative ratio. Essentially, this configuration is the ratio of the FULL ON at full diode power divided by FULL OFF at a reduced diode power, as driven by the TI controller when large swaths of black are being displayed. Therefore, reflecting more efficient use of the SSI source. Variable "black" brightness effectively gives a "blacker" black and therefore a higher ratio. | |
The APM 10,000:1 contrast ratio is particularly applicable to our SPAN Workspace solution, which has a primarily black background.
