No. There are several differences between older projector models and the NPS1080-2 projector that make conversion to the WM408i system impossible e.g. the NPS1080-2 projectors comes with built-in 4-corner image alignment that the older projectors don't have.

The older projectors are designed with an infared camera to work with the light curtain module which is not a part of the configuration of the WM408i system.
