The HDL300 integrated microphone and speaker bar can be installed close to a ceiling. However, when installing the integrated microphone and speaker bar high up, keep in mind the following considerations:

Install the integrated microphone and speaker bar close to the talkers in the room

As long as the integrated microphone and speaker bar is not installed lower than the recommended minimum height of 7.1ˈ (2.2 m), it's best to install the bar close to the people in the room.

Install the integrated microphone and speaker bar away from vents and fans

Noise sources, including HVAC vents and fans, can interfere with the audio pickup of the HDL300 system. Make sure your integrated microphone and speaker bar is not installed near any noise sources on your ceiling.

Avoid reflective surfaces

When installing an HDL300 system, it's important to keep in mind how the surfaces around it will absorb or reflect sound. When you install your integrated microphone and speaker bar close to the ceiling, keep in mind how the wall and the ceiling surfaces will affect the audio.

NOTE: The HDL300 system is not designed to be mounted to a ceiling, without a wall or backboard behind the integrated microphone and speaker bar.
