Operating systems

The HDL300 and Dual HDL300 systems and firmware are tested with the following operating systems.

  Windows®

  macOS®

  • Windows 10
  • Windows 11

  • macOS Ventura
  • macOS Monterey

The HDL300 and Dual HDL300 systems will also work with many other operating systems that will allow for standard HID/audio class USB operation. Some examples are shown below. Please note that the HDL300 and Dual HDL300 systems are not tested with these operating systems.

  Windows®
  OS X®
  macOS®

  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8.1
  • OS X Yosemite
  • OS X El Capitan
  • macOS Big Sur
  • macOS Catalina
  • macOS Mojave

macOS

Apple® advises using Rosetta® 2 with Mac® computers that have Apple silicon. Rosetta 2 enables a Mac with Apple silicon to use apps originally built to support Mac computers that use Intel processors. Rosetta 2 may not be pre-installed on some Mac computers and must be installed before using Nureva Console client.

Driver requirements

The HDL300 and Dual HDL300 systems are plug and play and will work as a standard USB device without requiring special drivers or software. The HDL300 and Dual HDL300 systems present themselves as both an audio input (recording) and audio output (playback) device to the operating system, so custom drivers are not required. Each device will present itself specifically as a USB composite device (HID device and audio class).

Keep in mind, these requirements are for a typical installation. The HDL300 and Dual HDL300 will also work with other systems, including computerless systems.
